"I travel a lot, and thought this would be a great way to carry a lot of makeup in a tight space. I bought the 16pod pallet. I bought a bunch of new make-up and filled it up! I put this in my carry on luggage tucked into a pocket. I am pretty gentle with my carry ons, but it shattered all of the makeup and the compact. I ended up with $200+ of brightly colored dust."

"I love that Aveda tried to create a less disposable makeup kit, but it needs to be improved just a tiny bit.
Personally, I don't usually wear lipstick and prefer gloss, so although I bought a lipstick to be inserted in this compact, I hardly use it. Also, I wish there would be a place to hold eye shadow applicatorsor tiny brushes. The new compact is nice and slim but I would still have to carry around eye shadow tips.
Pro's:
- the compact is durable and environmentally friendly.
- you can mix and match different blush, powder and eye shadow.

"i love the refillable compacts but this one is too big. i'd rather have a slimmer one without the lipstick compartment. it would be much easier to slide into my purse."

"This compact is a little bulky, but it would have to be since it holds a lipstick too. To me, that’s a great trade-off! It’s durable. I’ve thrown in around in my bag, dropped it a couple times and unintentionally put it through to ringer so to speak. It holds my Inner Light Pressed Power oh so perfectly. I love it!"

"The product looks better online than in person. The picture is a bit deceiving. I don't remember seeing dimensions listed. Great concept for a combo compact/lipstick holder but the actual product is just too bulky. It really takes up more space in a small evening handbag than I wanted. I'll be returning it soon!"

"I am a big fan of the whole series of Aveda compacts however this one s particularly delightful in that its truly compact and allows you to "piggyback" an Aveda lipstick. All you need if you're going to a party and don't want to pack your entire set of make up. You can choose to place multiple small palettes or a single blush or powder inside where a magnetic strip securely grasps the item of choice. Its elegant in appearance and people always ask about it."
