"This is a great product for it's antiseptic properties. I have blemishes and I put a few drops in my palm and apply to my face, works great! As an esthetician I like to apply this to my client's faces after a lot of extractions."

"I was having a horrible cystic acne attack! I wanted to buy the old " Blemish oil " from Aveda since it worked so well last time i used it! I asked the ( VERY nice ) Lady working at the Aveda what works for acne just as well as the blemish oil and she recommended the tea tree oil. I asked her how i would use it and she told me to mix 3 - 4 drops in with my regular cleanser! so i did! and i am VERY impressed with the results! thank you Aveda!"

"I love using this singular note when I'm cleaning. I'll put it in my trash cans so they don't smell bad. And using a few drops down the garbage disposal one a week is a great way to keep it smelling fresh and not like garbage! Sometimes I'll put a couple drops on the carpet for a fresh, clean aroma. And it's great for little breakouts! Be sure not to constantly be putting it on your skin though!"

"Aveda Tea Tree Oil is great for dry itchy scalp related to Seborrheic Dermatitis. I just apply a few drops to my dry and red areas, rub in and leave on over night. No other brand works as well."

"I have used Aveda Tea Tree Oil for years for myself and my pets, everything from abscesses and abrasions to cuts and my own puncture wounds from cat bites. I've healed my damaged toenail that a podiatrist recommended be removed and a sore on the top of one of my cat's heads that would fill with blood and then rupture. Nothing our veterinarian tried worked, but the tea tree oil healed it with no recurrence. The cat is FIV positive and still going strong."

"I've been using this for about 2 months now and it's been amazing! I don't get horrible pimples anymore--not even during that time of the month. I use it every night with my nighttime face lotion and sometimes during the day with an SPF lotion. It does smell odd, but it's well worth it!"

"I love tea tree oil, I have been using it for about a year now. It is very useful. Not only can it be used to calm redness, but it greatly reduces shaving bumps on the bikini line. I have also mixed it with a little bit of salt to get rid of annoying blackheads on the tip of my nose. This paired with ANY Aveda skin care line is a perfect match."

"Wow! I purchased this stuff because a friend had said that it helps with acne and let me tell you it definitely does. I mix a drop of this with my moisturizer every morning and every night and my skin is perfect!!! You will have a few breakouts when you start using this stuff because it is pulling everything out of your skin but in about two weeks you will be obsessed I promise you!! I can't believe there are only 10 reviews for this stuff!! It's truly amazing."

"I have mild rosacea and eczema, as well as acne-prone skin (oh, and I burn easily, too). So I guess you could say I have EXTREMELY sensitive skin that will either flare up, break out, flake off or somehow react to just about anything I put on it. This product does help a little with the blemishes (makes them disappear more quickly), but I saw nothing in the way of acne prevention, so this is definitely a reaction tool (after a breakout has occurred or is just starting). It also caused my skin to flake a great deal. It is very useful for other things. For example, I added some to my Aveda Scalp Therapy serum to help with dry, itchy scalp issues. I also used it on a cold sore and it did aid to speed the healing of that, as well. It's also good for general cuts/scratches/scrapes. The ingredient list has 3 items in it, which surprised me, as I thought it would be 100% pure tea tree oil. I'm not certain if this is the reason that it has only been moderately helpful to me. I'll have to try other brands with 100% purity to know for certain. Overall, I would recommend this product to someone with more "normal" acne-prone skin, but for someone with skin as sensitive as mine, it is only mildly helpful. In regard to all of the comments about the smell, the best way I can describe it is "medicated with a woodsy undertone." It is certainly a different odor than I had anticipated, but I don't mind it. It's Earthy and I'm into that."

"I use a couple of drops of this when I feel like I might be breaking out. It definitely either stops the pimple dead in its tracks or makes the healing time much faster than doing nothing or using those chemically over-the-counter acne medications. As other reviewers mentioned, the smell isn't the best, but the ends justify the means."

"I agree this oil is remarkable in healing stuff and great for all sensitive skins like mine and even babies , but that smell is goofy, i just cant take it, it is yukky and disgusting but the benifits out wiegh the sickening smell"

"I have been Using Tea tree oil since I was in the 9th grade! I have VERY sensative skin and it does nothing but soothe and help get rid of pimples! I made my BF try it when he had a few, and now hes hooked! It really reduces the size and helps heal them faster! It has a very strong aroma, very earthy and warm which for some people takes a tad of an asjustment. So maybe start wearing it to bed first. I absoutly love it!"
